Dr M. K. Shah Medical College and Research Centre is located in city of Ahmedabad on Visat Gandhinagar Highway. It is managed by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Trust, Waghodiya, Vadodara and affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. Smt SMS Multispecialty Hospital is attached with the Medical College which is currently having 350 beds to serve the population of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The hospital is running since June-2016, having all the latest and advanced medical facilities as per the guidelines of Medical Council of India.

Gujarat cancer society was  founded in 1961 and since then it has been providing care to the patient suffering from cancer at M.P.Shah Cancer Hospital, Civil Hospital Compound, Ahmedabad and Community Oncology Centre (COC), Vasna. Till date, lacs of patients have been diagnosed and treated.

In appreciation of the work undertaken by GCS, the Government of Gujarat has given us the responsibility to develop a new medical college. The Government of Gujarat has given 25 acres of land at the New Swadeshi Mill Compound, Naroda Road, Asarwa, Ahmedabad.

Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College was founded in 1963 with capacity of 75 annual admissions, later increased to 100 from 1964.Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was only the second Municipal Corporation – next to Mumbai – to establish a medical college of its own. Know More College History
