College of Medicine & JNM Hospital, Kalyani, Nadia, was set up under the ownership and administrative control of the WBUHS, in the year 2009.
The College and the Hospital are located in same campus of 76.3 acres of land. The Hospital has 450 teaching beds with extra admissions in all departments due to heavy rush of patients.
The institution is situated at a distance of 100 meters from Kalyani Shlipanchal Railway Station and 1.5 Km from Kalyani Railway Station.

Each batch consists 100 MBBS students, 85 seats from WBUJEE and 15 from AIPMT, till now.

Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. In order to eradicate it, Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009, passed the judgement wherein guidelines were issued for setting up of a Central Crisis Hotline and Anti-Ragging database.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), is a professional degree in medical science. A person holding the MBBS degree becomes a certified medical practitioner. The duration of MBBS course is five years and six months including one year of rotational internship at hospitals, health centres, and health camps organised by non-profit organisations (NGOs). MBBS course syllabus includes studies on anatomy, pharmacology, pathology as well as community health & medicine, paediatrics, and surgery. The syllabus, prescribed in such a way that MBBS degree holders can choose a specialisation for further majoring and practising medicine. The career specialisations for MBBS students are Nephrology, Cardiology, Gynecology, Anesthesiology, Organ Transplant, Endocrine, and General Surgery, etc.
