Armed Forces Medical College, Pune is a premier medical institution in India. AFMC has the distinction of being the first medical college set up by the Armed Forces of any country in Asia. The college is a unique institution which combines medical education with training specific to the health care needs of the Armed Forces. AFMC has been consistently rated among the top three medical colleges in India by surveys published by reputed newsmagazines for the past decade.

About 150 yrs ago, in 1851, Gandhi hospital was stared initially as an Infirmary of 3 wards, developed into a Cantonment Hospital with 95 beds in 1900. It has progressed to King Edward Memorial Hospital in 1913 and has grown into a teaching hospital in 1958 for Gandhi Medical College with present bed strength of 1200.
 Presently it is a premier institution of Post-doctoral medical education and training which is fulfilling the medical and health requirements of not only twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad but also the surrounding districts.

DEAN – Prof. Dr. S. P. Rao

Dr S P Rao, Professor in Preventive & Social Medicine is in possession of post graduate degrees in Community Medicine and Hospital Administration.. He is qualified in Epidemiology, Computer technology and Infectious diseases. Due to his penchant for field epidemiology work, he travelled Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Delhi. He has been consulting epidemiologist for WHO centre for Social Science and DANIDA projects in MP.

JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed to be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a variety of educational institutions. This deemed-to-be university is recognized by Ministry of Education and accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade (3.48 CGPA). JSS AHER has been graded as Category-I Deemed-to-be University by UGC.
