Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital is a government medical college having hospital facilities at Darbhanga, Bihar. It was established in the year 1946. College is currently affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University.

History

The medical college was constructed with the efforts of King Rameshwar Singh of Khandavala Dynasty who also built the beautiful Raj Nagar Palace in Madhubani.

Netaji Subhas Medical College & Hospital is established by Sitwanto Devi Mahila Kalyan Sansthan at Amhara, Bihta, Patna. The Institute is the brainchild of our visionary Charman , Shri M.M Singh. Chairman’s idea behind establishment of Netaji Subhas Medical College & Hospital is to provide best in class Medical Education to the students and nurture world class Doctors for the service to the Nation.

The college came into existence in the year 2008. The college is a pride institution of Government of Bihar underr Health Department of the Government of Bihar. This institutions has been permited by the medical council of India,, New Delhi to undertake admission of 100 Students to the MBBS Course in the year 2013. Subsequently the medical council of India after proper Inspection and assesment again approved admission of 2014 and 2015 batch of students for 100 MBBS Seats.

Hospital is located at Agamkuan and is well connected by all communication means. It has about 100 acres of land and different departments of the hospital are spread over several buildings in the campus. The different departments of the hospital are well equipped with modern equipments and expert doctors. NMCH is a major hub for treatment of all specialty in eastern patna taking care of approximately 2000 patient per day in OPD. The no of admission of patient per day in different departments and in casualty as well as in emergency is also very high.

In March 1970 a Society namely "Vaishali Shiksha Pratisthan " was registered with objective to advance, promote, encourage & spread of professional, technical & general education in Bihar.

Madhubani Medical College is the brain child of our Visionary Educationist and Founder Dr. Faiyaz Ahmad. He has been working tirelessly in improving the education quality and providing best facilities to the students of this region for the last 30 years. Madhubani is a district where best of the best minds exist but the problem has been proper nurturing of those, the students from the region had to always look to the bigger cities for quality education. Its the same with the health care facilities which are of very poor standards available to the local people around town.
