Mayo Institute Of Medical Sciences (MIMS), Barabanki was founded by Bodhisatva Charitable Trust. The Institution has been functional since 2012-13. It is approved by the Medical Council of India and it is affiliated to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medicine.

Location: Mayo Institute Of Medical Sciences (MIMS), Barabanki is located at Faizabad Road, Gadia, Dharsania, Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The nearest railway junction is Barabanki Junction, which is about 5 km and the nearest bus stop is Barabanki Bus Stop, which is about 5 km from the MIMS.

Clubs and Committees:

Diversity Club: The Diversity Club deals with raising awareness of the various cultures and message of equality. The club deals with issues that are prevalent in all cultures, such as the many forms of discrimination or prejudice, and it explores the differences that separate people, such as religion, language and customs and find ways for equality and unity.

Literary Club: The club is committed to developing effective communication talent among the students.  The club fosters a love for language, enhances literary creativity and provides an opportunity for self-expression beyond the school curriculum. The club develops and hones the literary skills of the students by organising the various workshops. 

Fashion Club: The club welcomes all students who are interested in the fashion industry, fashion design, fashion merchandising, and follows styles and trends within the field. It hosts the fashion show.  

Debating Club: This club of MIMS hones the oratory and analytical skills of the students while learning to work as a team. The society organises exciting events, often on a mega scale. 

Dramatics Club: The Dramatics club of MIMS is a good platform for the students to showcase their talent in acting. The street play team of the college actively represents the college in inter-college competitions.

Dance Club: The club encourages a passion for dance and provides a stage for self-expression beyond academics. The club represents the college in various competitions.

Quiz Club: The objective of quiz club is to popularize quizzing activities among students and to encourage them to take part in all competitive examinations at the state and central level. 

Environmental Club: The club is concern about the eco-balance and regularly engage in the activities of awareness to minimise the threat of global warming. The main purpose of the environmental club is to educate on sustainable practices, to implement change in the best interest of the environment, and to include all the stakeholders working to improve the future of earth by conducting significant workshops and seminars.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC): ICC committee of  MIMS constituted every year in order to cater to problems of students. Students can bring various issues. The committee also provides a feedback system in place which provides a channel to students for reporting their grievance or giving any suggestion.

Women's Grievance Redressal Cell: This cell of MIMS is committed to the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women and takes active steps towards gender sensitization and elimination of sexual harassment.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell: The aim of IQAC is to plan, guide, and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement activities of the Institution. 

Academic and personal counselling cell: The cell facilitates academic, emotional, social and cognitive development of the student and empowers them in their learning and personal development.

 Alumni Association: MIMS has good networking for the alumni association. Alumni Association was formed to bring together alumni and well-wishers, to create a force that binds alumni, well-wishers, faculty and students together that provides support to the fulfilment of the institute's mission. 

Grievance Redressal Cell: The Grievance Redressal Cell attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students of MIMS. Students are encouraged to use the suggestion boxes placed on different sections of the campus to express constructive suggestions and grievances. 

Anti Ragging Committee: Anti-Ragging Committee of MIMS ensures compliance with the provisions of the regulations as well as the provisions of the law concerning ragging is in force. It also monitors and oversees the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in prevention of ragging in the institution. The committee makes sure there is no ragging happening on the campus.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Latin: Medicinae Baccalaureus, Baccalaureus Chirurgiae; abbreviated in many ways, most commonly MBBS, but also MB ChB, BMBS, MB BCh, MB BChir), is the primary medical degree awarded by medical schools in countries that follow the tradition of the United Kingdom. The historical degree nomenclature states that they are two separate undergraduate degrees. In practice, however, they are usually combined as one and conferred together, and may also be awarded at graduate-level medical schools.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), is a professional degree in medical science. A person holding the MBBS degree becomes a certified medical practitioner. The duration of MBBS course is five years and six months including one year of rotational internship at hospitals, health centres, and health camps organised by non-profit organisations (NGOs). MBBS course syllabus includes studies on anatomy, pharmacology, pathology as well as community health & medicine, paediatrics, and surgery. The syllabus, prescribed in such a way that MBBS degree holders can choose a specialisation for further majoring and practising medicine. The career specialisations for MBBS students are Nephrology, Cardiology, Gynecology, Anesthesiology, Organ Transplant, Endocrine, and General Surgery, etc.

MD - Anaesthesiology

The purpose of PG education is to create specialists who would provide high quality health care and advance the cause of science through research & training. A post graduate specialist having undergone the required training in anesthesiology should be able to recognize the health needs of the community. He or she should be competent to handle effectively medical problems and should be aware of the recent advances pertaining to his/her specialty. She/he should be highly competent anesthesiologist with broad range of skills that will enable him/her to practice anesthesiology independently. The PG student should also acquire the basic skills in teaching of medical/para-medical students. She/he is also expected to know the principles of research methodology and modes of consulting library. She/he should attend conferences, workshops and CMEs regularly to upgrade his/her knowledge. The purpose of this document is to provide teachers and learners illustrative guidelines to achieve defined outcomes through learning and assessment. This document was prepared by various subject-content specialists. The Reconciliation Board of the Academic Committee has attempted to render uniformity without compromise to purpose and content of the document.
